Burgh Man
Freedom Corner

For 40 years it has served as a starting point for endeavors meant to defy and rectify the urban renewal, redlining, drug criminalization, and racial injustice that has harmed but not defeated the historically rich Hill District; Pittsburgh’s very own Harlem. Both elaborate and subtle, Freedom Corner also serves as a monument to 100 warriors of the civil rights movement, celebrating struggles won, and reminding us of struggles that have not yet been overcome. It has literally set in granite and bronze painful chapters of America’s past so that we will never forget. At the same time it has forged and cemented hope, something that must never break or erode if we are to realize equality in our lifetime.  Burgh Man supports all freedoms !!!
